Thankyou very much for that interesting piece of information regarding my cap All I can say is that it has been passed to me through my father who told me it belonged to my great grandfather who I can only guess was a friend of Jimmy Speirs as he has no relation to any of my family from the past I have no documents to back it up as its so old so I have no idea what the cap would be worth now knowing the iformation we have now Thats why I contacted your good self Its a treasured possession of mine and I really dont know if I would part with it to be honest but a respectable offer I would think about if you know anyone who would be interested in the cap Thanks again for you help in the matter and I look forward to hearing from you in the future Yours Mr J S Sheriff

These old Scottish Football caps can be worth anything between 450-2000 depending on whose cap it was and if it relates to a particular event.

I believe the above example belonged to Jimmy Spiers. In my view the above cap, backed with proof and history could fetch between 1200-1400 at professional auction.

Hi There I have a cap exactly like the one above except its a 1909 and it is versus Ireland Condition very good except for 2 small tears on the inner lining at the fold of the cap After all it is 100 yrs old ! I have often wondered what sort of money it would be worth Can you help ???? Thankyou
