Cup winners (6) Frank Thompson from Ballynahinch in County Down won a total of 12 international caps for Northern Ireland between 1910 & 1914. The cap in this lot represents Thompson's appearances against England & Scotland in season 1913-14. Northern Ireland recorded their first away win in England with a 3-0 victory at Middlesbrough. The Scotland match ended as a 1-1 draw in Belfast. Thompson was a member of Bradford City's 1911 F.A. Cup winning side but was playing for Clyde in season 1913-14.
